About The Artist

The Muse Behind Kubista

Bri Kubista doesn’t paint for walls. She paints for the people who live in front of them.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Bri has built her life around movement and feeling — traveling through Morocco, Spain, the Dominican Republic, and across the United States, letting each place leave something behind. That restlessness shows up in her work. There’s an energy in her paintings that’s hard to place, because it didn’t come from one place.

Every piece Bri creates is a one-of-a-kind original. No prints, no copies — just the painting itself, made once and released into the world as its own complete thing. She paints women in black and white, not to remove identity but to open it up. Without color as a reference point, what you’re left with is pure feeling — and that’s exactly where Bri works best. Her pieces have a way of meaning something different to everyone who stands in front of them, and that’s entirely by design.

She’s in this for the long haul. Bri intends to spend her life making work — slowly, deliberately, and without shortcuts. The pieces she creates today are meant to still be on walls decades from now, still holding their weight, still starting conversations.

The Art Finds You. It Always Does.
